Beautiful Decay

I have long been intrigued by rusting and decaying objects. I find the textures and colors created during the decay process quite fascinating and beautiful and it has influenced my photography and artwork greatly. It highlights man’s long struggle versus nature. For everything we build, nature finds its way back into our built environments and reclaims it unless we tend to it.

These items and places go unnoticed and unseen by most people rushing from point to point, but I try to take pause and admire and acknowledge them. It reminds us of our impermanence in this world and how everything will be returned to the earth someday.
